NYSC has promised on a call with CBOs today hitch-free, no servers issues registration process. Therefore, we want to highlight top requirements qualifies you and that can present major concerns for PCMs.
Requirements For Registration/Mobilization Of Graduates
This is very important information:
In order to ensure a seamless registration, prospective corps members are to note the following for strict compliance:
1. Prospective Corps members should ensure that they have functional e-mail addresses that they can access and Nigerian (GSM) telephone numbers with which to register. They will use the Email address and password to login to the NYSC portal subsequently and so are advised to keep it safe
2. Locally trained prospective Corps members are expected to use correct Matriculation numbers to register
3. For locally-trained graduates, only those whose names appear in the Senate/Academic Board Approved Result lists submitted by their Institutions will have access to the register on the NYSC portal.
4. Foreign-trained prospective corps members should ensure that their Institutions are accredited. Where in doubt, it is their responsibility to approach Federal Ministry of Education for verification. The letter of verification must be uploaded during registration.
5. Those who graduated from Institutions outside Nigeria, (Foreign-trained graduates), are to visit the NYSC portal, register and upload the following documents:
a. West African School Certificate(WASC) (with not less than 5 Credits at 2 sittings) or its equivalent; or General Certificate of Education (GCE O’ Level) (with not less than 5 Credits at 2 sittings) or its equivalent; or NECO (with not less than 5 Credits at 2 sittings) or its equivalent; or High School Diploma or its equivalent.
b. First Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) Certificate (Second Degree or Ph.D not necessary).
c. Transcript of the first Degree or HND.
d. International travelling Passport showing data page and date of departure for the course of study.
e. ATTESTATION LETTERS OR TESTIMONIALS are not acceptable in lieu of original Degree/HND Certificates.
f. All working class Graduates are required to upload their original ADMISSION LETTERS and LETTER OF APPROVAL from their respective employers to undertake their courses.
g. All graduates of Medicine and other health related courses such as Nursing Science, Laboratory Science, Physiotherapy, Pharmacy etc MUST posses and upload current-professional license. Expired license is not acceptable for mobilization.

Concluding on Requirements For Registration/Mobilization Of Graduate
6. It is the responsibility of the prospective corps members who studied in non-English speaking countries to get their Certificates and Transcripts translated into English language before uploading.
7. All graduates of Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Physiotheraphy, Radiology, Optometry, Medical Laboratory Science and Pharmacy are expected to have their Certificates of Registration with their professional bodies. Payment receipts are not acceptable.
8. Anybody who presents any fake document will be demobilized and decamped.
9. Prospective corps members should ensure that Passport photographs used meet the following specifications:
a. Ensure your face (eyes, nose, ears, mouth and jaw) is fully shown without bending1
b. Ensure the picture fills the frame and centralized
c. Ensure the Photo background is white or off-white with no shadow.
10. On no account should prospective corps members register by PROXY. They should also remember the fingers used for their biometric capturing as these will be used for verification at the orientation camps. Those who cannot be verified with their biometric at the orientation camp will not be registered.
You are only mobilize based on the age on the day you graduated. Not your current age
Mostly likely it will be sent by your department, the day you finished your final exams.
Why is this important; Some PCM with 2023/2024 set or whatever yours is, that are now 30 can still hope that they will be mobilize to serve their fatherland

This is another registration season though there is no mobilization yet for those with one issue or the other this post will guide you.
Common NYSC Registration Issues and Solutions
1.
TIPS FOR DOB CORRECTION
i. Apply for Date of Birth Correction on your dashboard with WAEC. Get WAEC Verification pin.
ii. The DOB link is active on your dashboard during Online Registration, ensure you make use of it appropriately.
iii. The WAEC Certificate must be equal or more than four (4) years as at the time of graduation.
iv. Do not use another person’s WAEC detail to apply, it will be dissaproved.
v. Ensure there is no disparity of names on your WAEC and that of your dashboard.
vi. A notification will be sent to your mail when your application have been processed.
vii. If your status on your dashboard did not change, it means you are still exempted and your Exemption Certificate will be processed.
viii. Go to your Institution after 3 months and collect your Exemption Certificate.

Your SAO (Student Affairs Officer) will treat the request online

NAME DISCREPANCY
This is to notify PCM’s that addition or removal of names will no longer be allowed on the NYSC portal. Only name at Matriculation is allowed for upload on the NYSC portal by the Corps Producing Institution
However, correction of simple spelling mistakes and names re-arrangement are still allowed on your dashboard

DATES
Date of Birth, Date of Graduation and Course of Study will be on Certificate of National Service and Exemption Certificate.
You cannot correct any of these details after Camp Registration.
a. DATE OF GRADUATION ISSUES
PCM’s with discrepancies in their Date of Graduation as uploaded on the NYSC portal and the date on their Statement of Results will not be registered in the Orientation Camp
PCMs should sort out such issues with the Student Affairs Officers (SAO) before reporting to the Camp.
Foreign-trained graduates should enter the exact date of graduation on their certificate during online registration.
b. DATE OF GRADUATION FORMAT
The correct format for Date of Graduation on Statement of Result is

5.
STATE OF ORIGIN ISSUE
The State of Origin of the PCMs used for NYSC mobilization emanates from the Jamb database. It cannot be changed after registration.
